CONDUCTIVE PLASTICS

Conductive plastics made with Nanocyl’s CNTs are being used more often in critical applications because they provide electrical connectivity, protection from electrostatic discharge (ESD), and higher cleanliness.

The electronic packaging industry, for example, uses CNTs to protect sensitive electronic parts such as integrated circuits (IC) and hard disc drives (HDD) from antistatic shock during fabrication and handling. The automotive industry uses CNTs to prevent the decay caused when the fuel is in the corners of fuel lines and pumps.

PLASTICYL™ Carbon Nanotubes Conductive Masterbatches

PLASTICYL™ is a unique family of Carbon Nanotubes thermoplastic concentrates for applications requiring electrical conductivity or protection from electrostatic discharge (ESD). These concentrates typically contain 15% to 20% of Carbon Nanotubes.

PLASTICYL™ is available in a wide range of thermoplastic resins, including PC, PP, PA, PET, HDPE, POM and others.

For which applications PLASTICYL™ is recommended?

PLASTICYL™ is recommended for applications requiring a surface resistivity from 10^2 Ohms to 10^12 Ohms.

Typical loading for static dissipative applications are around 2% to 3% of carbon nanotubes in the final compound.
